This packet includes "Roll, Add, & Cover" games, "Roll, Add, and Color" printables, recording sheets, and extension worksheets. The skills include adding 2 numbers, doubles, and adding 3 numbers.

These games are appropriate for small groups, partner work, centers, interventions, special education, and homeschooling. The will work for some kindergarten students, 1st grade, and interventions with some 2nd grade students.

“Roll, Add, and Cover”: 2 dice
Objective: Students will roll 2 dice and create addition problems. They will record their equations on their extension sheet and solve the problem with, or without, manipulatives. Students will then look on their “Donut Mat” to find the sum. If the sum is one of the numbers on their board, they will cover it with a marker. The first person to cover all the numbers on their board, wins!

Objective: Students will roll 1 dice and create addition problems for doubles. They will record their equations on their extension sheet and solve the problem with, or without, manipulatives. Students will then look on their "Donut Mat” to find the sum. If the sum is one of the numbers on their board, they will cover it with a marker or chip. The first person to cover all the numbers on their board, wins!

“Roll, Add and Cover”: 3 dice
Objective: Students will roll 3 dice and create addition problems. They will record their equations on their extension sheet and solve the problem with, or without, manipulatives. Students will then look on their "Donut Mat” to find the sum. If the sum is one of the numbers on their board, they will cover it with a marker. The first person to cover all the numbers on their board, wins!

Common Core Standards:
CCSS.Math.Content.1.OA.C.5 Relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 2 to add 2).
CCSS.Math.Content.1.OA.C.6 Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 – 4 = 13 – 3 – 1 = 10 – 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 – 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).

I am so pleased to share some different center ideas with you. I am passionate about differentiation and believe that it is so important to make it easier for the classroom teacher to differentiate. I hope that my centers save you some time and provide your students with enjoyment!

**Please leave feedback for my product.** You earn credits for the feedback you leave on purchased resources! I am thrilled to receive your feedback, suggestions, and requests. I look forward to working with you!
