Print each page on a different color for an easy way to distinguish each page.
Use the pages in an interactive notebook. Print size may have to be reduced depending on the size of interactive notebook being used.
Encourage learners to choose a topic of deep passion and interest.
Encourage learners to personalize each page with color, doodles, illustrations, and other personalizations.
Each page can be printed and used multiple times by each student. Allow students to choose which pages are most pertinent to their topic and how they will be exploring that topic on a particular day.
Do a lesson on your expectations for each sheet before students use that particular sheet.
Students can keep their Delight Directed Journal Pages in a three-ringed binder (three-hole punch each sheet or use plastic sheet protectors) or a spiral-bound folder.
Set requirements for your Delight Directed Journal such as certain pages that must be completed in a particular Delight Directed Journal session.
Enlarge any page in this packet at a local printing company or education agency to use as an anchor chart or for small group work.
Each page can serve as a center/station for a variety of subjects.
Invite students to scrapbook their Delight Directed Journal work by cutting and pasting pictures. Students may even want to take their own photographs to include in their Delight Directed Journals.
