In this activity 'Demonstrating Photosynthesis with Bromothymol Blue' students use Bromo blue to photosynthesis occurring. Students use the indicator to show the presence of Carbon Dioxide and the lack of its presence after it was used by a sprig of elodea. Students compare plants in light and dark spaces to further find evidence of photosynthesis. Activity takes 2 days so experiments can be left overnight.
And of course students LOVE blowing bubbles in the water and watching it change color!
