Use this lab to give your students practice with density and measurement concepts. In the lab, students calculate the densities of rectangular objects and determine whether or not those objects will float in water. During the lab, students must describe objects qualitatively, measure mass with a balance, measure and multiply to find volume, and use the density formula.
This resource has the following features:
-Lab directions for the teacher
-Lab recording and reflection sheets for students (in full page and INB size)
-Object labeling cards to organize the rectangular objects used in the lab
-Two density worksheets to review, practice, or assess the content of the lab (answer keys included)
