These density stations will give your students practice with the following density concepts:
--Definition, formula, and units
--Objects sinking and floating in water
--Particle arrangement in high and low density objects
--The water displacement method
--Calculating the density of rectangular objects (using a balance and a ruler)
--Calculating the density of irregularly shaped objects (using a balance and a graduated cylinder/beaker)
There are fourteen stations that do not require supplies. There are four additional stations that do require supplies and can be used if the teacher chooses. (Needed supplies include rulers, balances, graduated cylinders, beakers, and objects to measure.)
