Description

This DIFFERENTIATED lesson is an EASY AND FUN way to introduce or reinforce density, and also a great way to reinforce the scientific method and experimental design. There are multiple versions included: a teacher demonstration or student-centered demonstration of the principle of density. It is a great demonstration/discrepant event to engage students at the start of a unit. Also included are directions to do this activity as scientific inquiry, and for students to work through the process of designing an experiment.

This project fits will during a unit on either density, applications of density, early in the year for experimental design, or to wrap up the year and reinforce experimental design with a fun project.
