Tooth Tally: Draw a line from the tooth with the number on it to the correct number of tally marks on the right side of the sheet.
Craft: I have included templates for boys and for girls. Each child will have a white tooth template on white construction paper. The child will then choose hats, bows or skirts to decorate his/her tooth. Run the hats, bows and skirts on multi color paper. I like to use fun wavy scissors to cut out the skirt. After each child has assembled his/her tooth you can paste the poem on the tooth and place the toothbrush in the tooth’s imaginary hand. A fun way to decorate your classroom door during dental health week!
Sight Word Activity: Copy the sight word teeth on white construction paper, cut apart and laminate. Hide them around the room when your children are out of the classroom. Give them a clipboard and recording sheet and set them off on an adventure. As they find the words they will copy that word on the line provided. Then divide the class up into groups to become experts on their given words. Have each group present the words to the class.
