Want to give your students the opportunity to apply what they have learned about depository institutions and research a bank online for their own benefit? This is a great activity that will help students really understand the banking system. Students will research PNC bank first and then pick a bank of their choice to research. PNC bank was chosen first because they seem to have a good student account. This is an easy activity with screen shots and vocabulary in case students aren't familiar with all the different types of fees. It also goes over the savings tools such as money market accounts, CDs, and savings accounts. Students will gain a new understanding of interest rates and how it affects their savings accounts! This is quick and easy to grade and problem free in the classroom. Pictures have been added to align the activity for ELL learners. A key is included. There are 26 blanks to grade, so the grade is a percentage out of 26 points. I personally do not grade the last 6 questions except for completion due to the fact that it would take too long to research every bank to determine if the answers are correct.
