This Depth and Complexity: Rules unit
focuses on applying, creating, and identifying rules.
This is part of a completed bundle that you can find here: Depth and Complexity Bundle
Most everything we encounter in our every day lives has rules. Rules help us stay safe, provide structure, and help us achieve a common goal. Rules are usually agreed upon by a group to help us function safely.
As teachers, we take great strides to make sure that our students know, learn, and practice our classroom and school rules. By doing this, it makes the school year run smoothly for everyone. It is also great practice for our students as they grow into adulthood.
The Depth and Complexity icons were created by Sandra Kaplan and Bette Gould. The implementation of these icons allows differentiated learning where students can delve deeper and think more complexly about topics. Through the use of these icons, students can master topics. It is important to note that Depth and Complexity is not just for your higher level thinkers, but for all of your students.
