answers both of those questions! You can use this set to work on describing nouns by attributes
daily for under 5 minutes.
There are 36 noun pictures, so it covers the whole school year if you pick a "word of the week" to describe.
Use as a language warm up and have students find the correct strips for the featured “noun” item. Students can orally practice describing the item or writing a sentence using attributes to describe the item.
How to use and assemble:
Print out “describe it” letters (pages 4-12), glue to construction paper or scrapbook paper and laminate for durability. Different colored letters are included to match your classroom décor.
Print out the attributes circle frames on pages 13-16 (pick the color you want for your room, do not print out all the pages)
I used cardboard candy boxes (the rectangle shaped containers) and cut them in half. Cover them with construction paper or scrapbook paper. Glue/tape the circle frames to the cardboard boxes.
Print up noun pictures (pages 17-52) and glue to construction paper if desired. Print the attribute strips and cut out. Each week feature 1-3 pictures on your bulletin board. Put the strips in the correct attribute boxes for the pictures you are featuring for the week.
