Many students with pragmatic language disorders struggle to understand how other people view them. It is difficult for them to take the perspective of others. In this activity, students will select a face to draw a selfie. There are eight choices for boys and eight choices for girls. First, students will pick three adjectives to describe themselves. Next, students will pick three adjectives that their parents would use to describe them. Finally, they will pick three adjectives that their classmates would use to describe them.
Two additional activities are included. In one activity, the student will ask family members to write down three adjectives to describe them. In the other activity, the student will ask classmates to write down three adjectives to describe them. After completing these activities, students can compare their answers to the answers provided by others.
This packet is ink friendly! It’s a great activity to use at the beginning or the end of the year with social skills/pragmatic groups.
