This PowerPoint is designed to help students learn descriptive vocabulary and practice describing people. The page numbers/activities coordinate with the Expresate Level 1 Textbook (Chapter 2), but with a little editing, this could work with any text. For the slide that says "Foldable", students each receive colored cardstock and scissors. They fold the paper hotdog style and cut sixteen flaps through one side of the paper. Students write a new vocabulary word on each flap and then it's English translation on the inside. They staple this into their interactive notebooks and use it to review. It functions as flashcards without the mess, because students can look at the word and then open the flap to see the translation. My students love to make and use their "foldys".
