This is a worksheet that is a pre-requisite for learning about describing words. It allows the kids to practice describing items that they may see in their everyday life before appliying it to a story.
The thought behind this sheet is to get the kids comfortable with describing items (nouns) so that when they have to apply it to their narratives or other pieces of writing it will come naturally.
** This graphic organizer works best if you do a whole group item first (ex. 1 piece of starburst per child - allow them to draw it in the pentagon, touch, see, taste, and smell it). THEY ENJOY IT!!!
