This is a Power Point with 44 slides. I have an image for each of the vocabulary words/phrases located on the CONTEXTOS page of the Descubre 1 textbook, as well as the 5 locations "En el centro" from the following page.
I like to use this type of PPT to help present the vocabulary, but then to go through it again as a form of reinforcement and review. The images appear first, then if you click again, the vocabulary word pops up. This is helpful for getting students to think, and then not only see the image, but hear and see the word.
This can also be used as a game. If you divide your class into two teams, put their desk into lines, then use this to have a member of each team correctly write the vocabulary word on the board. Each team that gets the word written correctly first gets a point. You can decide the bonus, time play, etc, from there. It's not a bad thing to start again at the beginning of the PPT since you usually don't end up with the same student doing the same exact word again. My students really enjoy this.
