This is a "Choose Your Own Adventure" style Powerpoint game about surviving a plane crash in the Gobi Desert. It can be played in teams, or with the class as a whole. Before leaving the crash site, there are a dozen items among which 4 can be brought along. Many times throughout the journey, the class will face a challenge. They can succeed by having the right item with them, but they can also succeed with their creativity. For example, a blanket can be used to survive the cold night, but it can also be thrown over a rattlesnake before they stomp on it.
If the kids do not have the right item and are unable to use the ones they have to solve the problem, they must roll the die. Rolling the die can result in success, losing an item, or dying. It is up to you whether you give your class multiple lives or whether dying sends them back to the beginning. Any die will do, but the kids will especially like it if you can find a giant fluffy one and make a big show of it every time they have to roll.
