Product Description
A step by step guided lessons to research and design a cereal box. Students will identify the purpose for design ideas and generate simple ideas for designs with this pack. At the end of the lesson students can evaluate their products and processes by identifying what worked well and what did not.

There is so much room in this pack to expand any of the slides to cover English (word use in advertising etc..) or Health (nutritional facts) or Math (statistics) - so could easily stretch to a unit without much additional planning.

Meets the Australian Curriculum standards (ACARA) for:

Year 3 Technology and Maths:

Analysing and collecting data through:
• Collecting data through surveys
• Representing patterns of data through picture graphs and bar graphs
• Interpreting data and looking for patterns

Year 2 Maths:

Recognise and explore patterns of data and represent data as pictures, symbols and diagrams.
Sort objects and events based on easily identified characteristics.
Making generalisations about data sets and discussing the results.
Creating different patterns to communicate meaning such as a response ‘yes or ‘no’
Creating picture graphs to represent data using one-to-one correspondence.

Year 3 and 4 Design Technologies
Recognise the role of people in design and technologies occupations and explore factors, including sustainability that impact on the design of products, services and environments to meet community needs
