Product Description
When your local amusement park asks your students to design a treehouse, you have to listen and get to building. Your students have been tasked with designing the perfect gigantic treehouse and with obstacles and excitement for visitors to go wild on. Over time treehouses have evolved from a single room to incredible mansions in the trees. It's the students job to bring excitement and thrills to the trees. Let's build!

Design A Treehouse asks students to design their perfect house in the trees. This project integrates elements of math and ELA by combining cross curricular activities/skills (planning, design, budgeting and organization) as students design and develop a gigantic treehouse within an amusement. By the end of this PBL students will have completely developed unique and personalized treehouse that they can share and compare with other students...or even present to architects and home designers.

There are 18 activities (most are 1 page each) for students to complete. Each page involves an issue or topic they must solve, design, create, or research. As students work through each page, they will make their own decisions and choose the outcomes based on information they learn. By the end, all students will have completed the project, but each version will be based on the creator’s imagination, creativity, and knowledge base.

This PBL is also part of a the larger PBL, TREEHOUSE CONSTRUCTION. This portion only contains the Amusement Park Design, whereas TrConstruct includes multiple sections for students to build 3D version.
