Product Description
This product is not a product you want to purchase if you want all the students posters to look exactly the same. This IS the product you want to purchase if you like all the students posters to be creatively different. I made this product because in years past I would always get a pre-made classroom set of "All About Me" posters that were exactly alike. However, some of my students would have trouble filling in some of the information, or would tell me that they didn't like this or didn't like that. This poster will give them choices and also let them decide if they would rather write the information, or draw the information. What is really cool, is that no two posters will be exactly the same. The poster I have on the cover, is just a sample. I like all the students to have their birthday, the picture frame, goals for the school year, on their posters, but other than that, I let them choose the rest. Each picture gives the students directions and some give the students suggestions on what to draw or write. I have students glue two 12 inch by 18 inch pieces of white construction paper together about 1 inch in. The finished size will be 18 inches by 23 inches, which is a great size for a ME Poster. Yes, there will be a seam in the poster, but it is hardly noticeable when you get everything glued on the poster and you can always just use one 12 by 18 sheet of construction paper with fewer pictures. I have the students do all their writing and coloring before cutting out their pictures. I have them arrange their pictures on their poster before gluing them down. This poster is a great way to give your students ownership of their work and choices that you know they will not have trouble with because THEY chose them.
Hang them up and do a Gallery Walk.
