Students graph a set of given equations in slope-intercept form to reveal a design they can color if they wish. When I use it, students tend to pay attention to detail more since they want to have the correct slopes and y-intercepts to achieve the correct design. The designs include perpendicular and parallel lines. The activity comes with three levels of difficulty for differentiation. It also comes with an extension in which students can create their own design by writing their own set of linear equations. Complete with instructions and answer keys/samples of completed levels. Great culminating activity for graphing slope-intercept or to review in later courses.
