This is a very direct position (6 paragraph) paper and grading rubric used in a regular biology class. Students must express their knowledge of genetic engineering and how this would be used to select traits and design the perfect baby. They will list advantages, disadvantages, legal complications, their personal opinion etc.
I have broken down the paper by paragraphs so students know what topics to talk about in each paragraph.
This would be great for IEP, 504, ELL, or lower students who need direction in writing a position paper.
