This zip file contains materials for middle school science lessons on creating step by step procedural instructions for a simple scientific experiment as part of a scientific inquiry / scientific method unit. This is used to lead students towards the goal of designing their own experiments (see my "Design an Experiment" project materials).

Includes:
6th grade SMARTboard .notebook presentation, includes full procedure for lab experiment (10 slides)
7th grade SMARTboard .notebook presentation, includes full procedure for additional lab experiment (8 slides)


Presentations serve as lesson plans that guide the teacher through the entire lesson. Presentations include links to related YouTube videos to increase student engagement (I can help you use YouTube videos in your class, even if your network blocks such sites, just ask).
