Desk Reference Guide - First Grade
You can create a convenient skills reference guide for first graders, a two-pocket folder that functions as a desk mate (to keep track of incomplete assignments) and a skills resource. You will need plain two-pocket folders (paper, not plastic, and without brads) and my product First Grade Resource Folder: Make Your Own. Print, glue, laminate, and… voila!
The front cover and left inside pocket pages support grade appropriate language art skills, such as vowel sounds, blends, digraphs, contractions and ending punctuation.
The back cover and right inside pocket pages support grade appropriate mathematics skills, such as math symbols, addition, subtraction, two dimensional figures, time, fractional parts, and number words to 20.
The skills information is aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning in English and Mathematics for the first grade.
