Do your students enjoy a little mystery? "Sorry Wrong Number" originated as a radio play. This product corresponds to the play and engages students as they read (the text is not included). The students are to determine who was the murderer based on evidence gathered through their reading.
This is a 4 page Word document that is ready to be printed as is. Once it’s printed you pile the pages together and fold to create the 8 page Detective Log booklet. That easy!
The document is editable in case there are changes you would like to make.
The log is designed with the following pages and focuses:
* Title Page: you place the title of the play, "Sorry Wrong Number" and the detecitve (student) name
* Who’s Who: character development and analysis, character traits, providing evidence
* 5 log entries: inferring and providing evidence and author development of suspense
* Who Did It: inferring and providing evidence
For the log entries I chose 4 different stopping points in which I believed the students could easily make inferences. You could also decrease the number of stops and increase the expectations at each. (For the "Case Name" on the front I had students put the title of the play, "Sorry Wrong Number.")
