PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This bundle will have kids analyzing political cartoons from the women's suffrage movement! A very detailed PowerPoint will lead them through discovering exactly what a political cartoon is and why it was used. A thorough lesson plan and explicit notes within the PowerPoint will ensure that your students get a clear understanding of this very difficult concept. Over two days, the teacher will model how to analyze a political cartoon to determine the main idea and then write a summary paragraph about that interpretation. Students will work in small group to analyze their own cartoon, and then independently to write a summary of the main idea determined through their group work.
