Global Thinkers are internationally minded. They are knowledgeable about the world that they live in. They ask questions about the world. They are knowledgeable about different cultures and their traditions.. They are open-minded to the differences in our world. This inquiry based activity was designed for 3rd-6th grades to learn about the world through their flags, using the IB PYP Learner Profile and Key Concepts as the focus of thinking. USA &UK spelling.
The activity takes the form of a Global Passport. The pages can be mixed and matched and created into a booklet. Easy to differentiate. As the flags are introduced to the children, they will complete the pages of the passport, developing their research skills and knowledge of the countries in question. This can be completed over the course of the school year as flags are introduced, as a collaborative group/partner activity within another unit of inquiry, independent homework assignment or a geography and mapping activity. The options are endless.
