This collection includes nine handouts. The Developmental Milestones Series (Infants and Toddlers) is a powerful resource to provide early childhood educators and parents with the knowledge they need to recognize when a child may be at risk for developmental delay. Sharing this information with parents can build a partnership in understanding developmentally appropriate expectations, supporting child development, and identifying children at risk for developmental delay as early as possible.
Each handout focuses on a stage of infant/toddler development (Birth-2 months, 2-4 months, 4-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 12-18 months, and 1-2 years) and includes expected milestones within the major areas of development (motor, cognitive, communication, and social). Each handout also includes a list of ‘red flags’ that may indicate a child should be screened for developmental delay, as well as information on accessing early intervention services.
The Developmental Milestones series is the perfect handout for use by daycare providers, early interventionists, or in the context of IFSP meetings. The Developmental Milestones series provides answers to questions parents are asking and unites providers and families as partners in education- because in a perfect world, that's how it should be!
This download is for the full Developmental Milestones Series (Infants and Toddlers) which includes nine handouts: the overview of developmental milestones handout and eight handouts focusing on each stage of development (Birth-2 months, 2-4 months, 4-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 12-18 months, and 1-2 years), as well as the overview of early intervention handout.
Note: You can purchase each of the Developmental Milestones handouts separately- but this is the best value!
