Have you used clip cards in your library?
This is a combination of three sets of Dewey Decimal clip cards in one bundle! The bundle contains 24 cards at each level, for a total of 72 cards.
Red cards (easy) include only hundreds (e.g., 200s, 300s, 400s).
Green cards (intermediate) include tens (e.g. 210, 350, 490).
Purple cards (challenging) include ones (e.g. 296, 398, 417).
Each set has a color-coded Dewey chart that corresponds to that level, as well as an answer key.
OBJECT OF THE GAME:
Students look at the title of the book on their card and clip a clothespin (that the teacher provides) to the correct Dewey number. They can refer to the Dewey chart, or walk around the library to check the shelves. If you wish, you can make the cards self-correcting by affixing a small sticker to the reverse side of the card, opposite the right answer (especially if you are going to use them in library centers).
They can switch with another student, when they are done, for more practice.
The three levels can be used separately for different grades (2d, 3d, 4th), at the beginning, middle and end of the school year, or shuffled all together for a mixed review.
