The Dewey Decimal Bundle combines six of my bestselling products for a savings of over 30%. Full descriptions of each product are listed below and you can download the Preview for full pics of what is included in this pack.
Color pages for over 50 high interest Dewey areas that can be used in a variety of ways:
*Stand Alone Coloring Sheets
*Maker Space Table Activity
*Scavenger Hunt Companion Activity
*Class Booklet (with 2 cover choices)
This interactive flip book combines art, literature and library skills all in one. There is a tabbed page for each nonfiction category with a place for students to write the description, the title and author of a book from that section and what they liked most about the books in that category. Students can cut and assemble their book upon completion, or paste them into an interactive notebook.
Older students should be able to complete these pages with some degree of independence. This book is easy to cut and assemble. If focusing on one section per week, this booklet could be a 10 week activity. The pages involve straight line cutting.

DEWEY DECIMAL BINGO GAME
I designed this game set to help students review Dewey Decimal and library-media terms and have fun at the same time. Inspired by classic BINGO, this DEWEY version covers the most frequently used Dewey categories along with some library media terms thrown in. As an additional bonus, this can also be a coloring activity and kids can color their own card. If you want to use them over and over, have kids add the color and laminate. With 30 individual cards, there is enough for the whole class and can be many times over.
Use for traditional BINGO, 4 Corners, Black-Out and/or any other variation. Great Friday activity or for those long days when the kids need some fun and you need a break :)
When I play with my 8th graders, I start the first round as the 'caller.' The person that wins the round gets to take my place and be the caller and so on with subsequent winners. The kids love it and it gives me a bit of a breather because the class will run itself.
This game is ready to print. The card and pieces will need to be cut, but this does not take long if using a paper cutter. Students or media helpers can color the cards. Factor in additional time for laminating, which is preferable, but optional.
The game cards are in a PDF file and can be printed as full page cards or 2 per page, depending on your printer settings.
Game Pieces Included:
30 Bingo Cards (PDF File)
Terms for 'calling'- print and cut along dotted lines (PDF File)
Brightly colored 'chip' page- print and cut (PDF File) Optional
MAKE YOUR OWN BANNER ACTIVITY
Make a library banner with these print and cut bunting pages! I have created templates that cover fifty-five high interest areas of the Dewey Decimal System. Use for whole classes or small groups. Use all fifty-five or allow student to choose their favorite. In addition to coloring, these buntings have a space for students to fill in the title and author of a book that belongs in that category.
Each bunting has a dotted line across the top that can be folded over a string for hanging. If using push pins or staples, the top part of the bunting can be trimmed along the dotted line.
This activity can be utilized a variety of ways:
*Scavenger Hunt Companion Activity (allow students to select a book from the shelf to match the category on their bunting)
This set is bundled as a PDF file. You can print the entire banner or just choose the pages you need.
These bright, bold Dewey wordles will add character to the library while providing information and signage at the same time. Clear and easy to read, each wordle reflects the subject area covered in the corresponding nonfiction category. I have saved these as high resolution, png files that can be enlarged to poster size without losing clarity. I have also loaded them into a PPT for easy printing for letter sizes.
Adding a little Christmas to your Dewey lessons just got easier. I have created 23 coloring sheets with the joys of the season in mind. If you like to add art to your lesson, these coloring pages are for you! Though they are Christmas themed, I have labeled them as they would be found on the everyday library shelf. Even if you don't want to make mention of Christmas directly, these sheets can still work for you.
