This is another way to help your students find books they would like more quickly. We purchased thin magazine boxes from Demco (basic ordering info included) and put these labels on the taller side of the magazine boxes. My students and staff really like them ... the bold blue makes them stand out on the shelves compared to other shelf labeling methods. :) Apparently they never really paid much attention to the spine labels on every single book. :/
There are a variety of Dewey topics available, plus letters for the everybody and fiction areas. I tried to make the Dewey numbers fairly generic but cataloging is an interesting and varied art. Requests to "tweak" numbers or add labels are taken as time permits and if I have images to match (the best place to contact me is via my blog). Right now the set is not editable.Printer settings can vary things but the labels measure about 1.8 by not quite 3.7 inches.
It may take the text a bit to load when you first open up the pdf ... it might look like it only has pictures but no words or letters. I can't figure out why ... but it has always printed correctly on the multiple printers and machines I've tested.
