For Hispanic Heritage Month or Halloween consider tying the Mexican holiday "Dia de los Muertos" to your curriculum. The Day of the Dead has many similarities to the more popular Halloween, but is uniquely and culturally different. My K-4 students loved learning about it through the singing, dancing, videos, coloring, and activities in this lesson. With a wealth of resources to choose from, no Spanish or musical abilities are required!
