An alternative or addition to the normal halloween activities! Add some more culture to your classroom with an activity for Day of the Dead ! : )
*A Dia de los Muertos Informative Passage
*A Comprehension Page
*A Vocabulary Matching Page
*A sugar skull coloring page
*Independent activity- students read the passage, highlight, and answer the comprehension questions and the vocabulary page.
*A whole class activity for younger grades- the teacher reads the passage aloud and the class answers the comprehension page together
*sugar skull coloring page for all grade levels (even my 4th graders loved it! They turned out so colorful and different, that we hung them up in the room after)
Being a teacher in southern California, I feel it is so important for students to be able to share their culture and background with each other. This is a wonderful way that a teacher can facilitate that!
