Although this guide is also available through a bundle, it has so much information that I also wanted to offer teachers the opportunity to just purchase the PowerPoint separately. I have animated each slide so the information is seen in smaller chunks. The presentation begins looking at the history, why, and when it is celebrated. Since this unique holiday gives a different view of death, I also give a little insight to the concept of death that embodied this celebration. I want students to understand the importance of respecting, understanding, and learning from our cultural differences. Many people look at this holiday as sacrilegious, but in doing so perhaps fail to see the whole picture. 12 different key symbols are explores and explained. It then leads into the preparation and celebration. It ends with a few pictures of actual celebrations. As J.K. Rowling said: “After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure."
