Product Description
This lesson addresses and respects the different dialects in the U.S. Specifically, it addresses the Smoky Mountain Dialect in the southern United States and introduces the concept of Dialect vs. Standard American English without calling it "wrong." Many dialects in economically challenged areas include "incorrect" usage, such as "We was" and "It don't." Use this in conjunction with the "Research your Dialect" worksheet to ease the tension that is likely to occur in your grammar lessons if you make the mistake of saying, "You're saying it wrong."
