A great worksheet or task card resource for your circles unit to get students to think deeply about relationships between radius, diameter, circumference, and combinations of these segments!
The first set of 12 problems ask students to find a specific segment in tangent circles (a radius of one circle, diameter of one circle, or combination of these such as adding the two diameters together). Questions are asked in the form of "Find NP," so students must determine how to use their given information to find the specified segment.
The second set of 37 problems ask students to find a specific segment in overlapping circles. Questions are again asked in the form of "Find XY," so students must determine if they should use a formula (like circumference) and/or add or subtract to find the required length (radius, diameter, a part of these, or a combination of some of these) from the given information (radii, diameters, circumferences, or a combination).
