This activity may be used as an introductory lesson before reading Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl.
You will need access to the following websites in order to complete this handout:
*Personal Experience: I had the pleasure of visiting the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam last year. I shared this experience with my students, who became very interested and curious. Of course, I encouraged them to visit The Anne Frank House if they ever have the chance to travel or study abroad. Taking into account that some of my students may never have this experience, I decided to create a lesson in which they could virtually explore the Secret Annex. This activity provided even more historical context before we delved into the book.
