This product is a quotation analysis for excerpts of the book. The entries included are some of the more popular entries used if you are teaching only parts of the book.
The quotations come from the following entries:
June 20, 1942
July 8, 1942
July 9, 1942
Nov. 10, 1942
Nov. 12, 1942
July 15, 1944
Students are given a quotation and something to think about when responding to the quotation. They are then expected to respond to the quotation. (It's like a scaffolded dialectical journal.)
I usually do this activity while we are reading and discussing the entries.
The actual entries are not included with this product. However, these entries are easy to find on the internet.
