Diary of a Back to School Kid Spanish Version • Diario de un Niño

Use this resource to have your students remember all the school rules, class procedures, expectations, and school information you give out during the first week of school. The resource can be printed as a double-sided booklet or single-sided. book

How it Works

• As you start your first week of school, have the students complete diary entries as you introduce routines, schedules, rules, and build community.
• This is a fun way to get the students motivated to start the year.
• The book can be referenced during the year when students have questions or problems arise in the classroom (no one wants to be my friend…well, then just look on the page that says How to Make New Friends at School).
• The diary entries can be factual or fictional…make them funny or serious!

There is also a Parent Message and Response page. Once the book is complete, send it home for parents to view and respond with questions or suggestions.

Non-grade specific, it can be used in grades 2 - 4 to help students process all that information and then share it with parents. Have them write down the important year-long information, set goals, share memories with friends, and get their parents involved.

This version of the book in Spanish is the same as the English version using Latin American Spanish.

Each page is styled like a diary entry, and each page has a different topic to write about.

The book can also be made into a 10-page booklet using Adobe Reader or Acrobat. Instructions for doing so are included. All printable pages are use line art or grayscale for ink-saving printing. Just print once and duplicate in a copy machine.

Please Note: the file is a zip file containing two PDF files. One file is for the teacher which has the instructions. The other file is the Student book.
