Product Description
This resource encourages deep-thinking and analysis between two mediums: text and film. Use this two-page graphic organizer to guide student notes while comparing Diary of a Wimpy Kid to a film version of the same or similar story.

Your purchase includes a two-page graphic organizer for students and notes to teacher file with tips for using the resource. The graphic organizer includes four Venn diagrams: two for characters and two for themes. At the bottom of each Venn diagram, there is space for students to write final conclusions about the characters and themes. There is a list of suggested themes that lend themselves well to the text for students to choose from. Characters are left blank in case you choose a film with a different storyline.

Students appreciate the structure in this worksheet. Teachers can glance at the end of each class period and make sure students have made progress.
