My students love to play games with dice. This is one which we will start playing when school resumes! I use the Dolch list of High Frequency Words, but any words that you want to use will work. I have included a blank cube net and a blank student page where you can fill in with whichever words you are working on. This is a game for 2 (more can play!) I give each pair of students 1 dice and a tracking sheet. They take turns tossing the dice and then color in the square above the word (there are 5 squares). I make sure that the students can read the words before they color in a square. If they cannot read it, I’ll tell them what it is once. The first player to color in 5 word squares is the winner. I collect the sheets and a day or so later ask them to read the words for me. Great tool for quick assessment! There are 9 pages of student tracking sheets (2 games per page). 16 pages of nets for each of the16 games, and 2 blanks for your use. Hope it works well for you!
Please leave me some feedback after you have used this product and let me know how it worked for you!
