PPT is a brief biography and analysis of four of his murals. Students are asked to work with a group and divide the mural and closely examine it and infer the message from the painter. Students have to discuss the themes for each mural. Great activity for your Spanish Intermediate Mid to High students (Spanish AP or Spanish for native speakers).
3/21/18 OJO corrected creencias. Also uploaded in PPT and PDF in zip folder.
This PPT makes a nice addition to Beauty and Aesthetics unit while making connections to Social Studies and Art history. After each prompt, there is an analysis so that students can compare con contrast their analysis with teacher analysis.
Students are reminded that analysis are interpretations and there is no right or wrong answer. They simply have to support their opinions with examples and connections.
At the end of the PPT there is a short assignment for students that can be used as an oral assessment since students will be required to turn key their research to the class. The PPT makes connections to Social Studies and Politics which leads to great class discussions.
