This lesson addresses Illinois and national learning standards in Science, Social Science, Mathematics, Health and English Language Arts. The lesson plan is 14 pages long, and is comprised of 25 steps--in addition to the anticipatory set and conclusion--that can be divided into several mini lessons. The author includes reflections and recommendations for differentiation with this lesson plan.
