This assessment asks students to look more deeply at The Crucible, the Salem witch trials,and McCarthyism.
This is a tiered assessment to provide easy differentiation in a multi-ability classroom. Students have choices between nine different projects -- each using different elements of Gardner's Multiple Intelligences.
They select three projects, moving vertically or diagonally down the board; each horizontal row is a different level of Bloom taxonomy. Furthermore, different levels of assignments of assignments require different types of technology application.
For your convenience, I've included a general rubric for the essay component.
My students absolutely LOVE the choices offered through tic-tac-toe boards, but these assessments are VERY time consuming to create! I've saved you days worth of work! :)
