This is part three to the set I began last year. Nikki (Melonheadz lllustrating) just added another set! Here is a third set of recording sheets for different individuals! For now it is all Hispanic Americans. That might change later. I can’t pass up fun clip art that ties in to learning. I'll update this file with more before creating a part 4. If you're interested get it now on a deal!
I put this together as a short differentiated biography research activity for my kiddos. These notetaking sheets are not meant for a long or involved project—more using important people to practice the research process. On our campus we’re lucky enough to have access to several different options, including print resources, the PebbleGo online database, and WorldBookOnline. Really any non-fiction source would work.
The first set (slides 4-18 requires only the most basic information.
The second set (slides 19-32) steps up the thinking a bit more and asks the students to compare/contrast one aspect of the “hero’s” life with their own.
The third set (slides 33-46) steps the thinking up even a little more asking for more information and a question the student would like to ask the famous person..
