In this document, you will find tools for pre-assessing student mastery/preparedness for instruction and a variety of progress monitoring probes. Before teaching the “standard to assess”, use the pre-assessment to get an idea of where each student in your class is in terms of understanding. You can record this information on your Progress Monitoring Template. Use the probes (provided for “standard to assess”, “standards for remediation” and “standards for acceleration”) to periodically assess progress toward mastery. This bundle includes differentiated probe/pre-assessment packages for 5.G.1, 5.G.2, 5.G.3, and 5.G.4 as well as Progress Monitoring Templates for each focus standard.
