PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Using the example of Blanche DuBois from Tennessee Williams's A Streetcar Named Desire, students analyze characterization techniques and the use of dramatic speeches (asides, monologues, soliloquies). Then students are grouped according to ability level (differentiated content by readiness) and, using examples from 10 Things I Hate About You, Death of a Salesman, The Great Gatsby, and King Lear, create voicemail messages for their characters.

Lesson plan and accompanying worksheets/handouts included.
