I made these prompts to use for my writing center leading up to Christmas break. All pages are set up in the format that our literacry initiative has implemented. This format is Topic sentence, First, Next, Then, Last, and I think sentence.
My morning class is at or above grade level and are independent writers. They just need a prompt and reminder of the format. My afternoon class has students who are working below grade level and need more guidance with their writing. They have one sentence less (next,) than the morning class. My students love these prompts and it has helped with all of their writing tremendously!
