Your students can record their observations of the inside and outside of an egg in this interactive flip book. The pages are differentiated so that your pre-writers and advanced writers alike can participate in this lab!
The flip book is easy to assemble: Print the first page (this will be the book itself). Then print and cut the second (these are the flaps). Staple onto the first page and your flip book is ready to go.
Students will observe the exterior of an egg with a hand lens, noting any spots, colors and pores. You may have students label or write about the parts of the egg's exterior.
Next, crack open the eggs and let your students try to identify parts of the inside. Again, students may label or write about what they see.
