Differentiated Fall Consonant Blends Digital Task Cards

These 24 digital task cards on the BOOM Learning website are great for having students practice decoding skills, especially with words with consonant blends. These digital task cards are great for teaching remotely and can be accessed on a laptop, desktop, Chromebook, tablet, or any other mobile device that is able to access the internet. They can also be used on your Smartboard, so that the whole class can play. The most exciting things about these cards are that they are self-grading, allow you to track student progress and require no prep (no need to print, laminate or store).

• A link to access 24 Digital Task Cards on Consonant Digraphs (1 card per slide) on the BOOM Learning website
• Teacher Notes on how to use these BOOM Cards in your classroom

These cards are differentiated to meet the needs of all students (helpful for students in special education). Cards include 3 levels:
Level 1: (Easiest) These cards have a green background and include the following decoding patterns cvc, ccvc, vowel-consonant-e, welded or glued sounds, digraphs and suffixes.

Level 2: (More challenging) These cards have a blue background and include vowel teams, words with 2 blends, bonus letter or FLOSS rule, welded or glued sounds, and suffixes.

Level 3: (Most difficult) These cards are purple and include words with multiple syllables, r-controlled vowels, digraph blends, and vowel teams.

Teachers can assign students a specific level based on their individual skills. After completion of each level, students can click on the link to go back to the main menu.
