This product will allow you to create a differentiated listening center
based on the needs and abilities of your students. Simply print what
you need. There is an I Can … statements sheet so that students know what is expected at the center. Also included is a picture of a CD player with the important buttons labeled in two different sizes and a Listening Center Sign. I use the smiley faces on it to let students know how many students can be at the center at one time. However, the smiley faces make a cute decoration.
There are 30 different response sheets. Numbers 1 – 10 are the easiest level. Numbers 11 – 20 are medium level. Numbers 21 – 30 are the hardest level. You can put them in three different colored folders. Students then choose the color folder that is appropriate for them.
The various levels of response sheets are …
-Draw/write about your favorite part of the story. Why is it your favorite part? What would make it even better?
-Draw and label your favorite character/main characters. Which one is the main character? How do you know?
-Draw a setting in the story. Draw another setting in the story. Why did the author change the setting?
-Draw the beginning, middle, and end of the story.
-Draw the problem in the story. Draw the solution in the story. Tell another way to solve the problem.
-Draw an event from the story you did not like. Tell why you do not like it. Tell how you would change it.
-Draw the most important part in the story.
-Draw how the main character feels. Draw how the main character’s feelings change. Tell why/how the main character’s feelings changed.
-Draw the main season in the story. Tell how you know it is the main season.
-Draw a different ending for the story. Tell about your different ending.
-I would recommend this book to … because …
