What a great way to help your students learn how to add and subtract fluently on their own level! This pack includes 3 leveled games to meet the needs of your students!
Level 1: Forest Fact Fun Addition and Subtraction Facts to 5
Level 2: Forest Fact Fun Addition and Subtraction Facts to 10
Level 3: Forest Fact Fun Addition and Subtraction Facts to 20
Once you have leveled your students into math groups, you can have them play these games as a teacher directed small group activity, math station game, or partner activity.
Forest Fact Fun Game Directions: First, choose the cards you need to play the game. Then, place all the cards face down in one stack. Each student will take turns choosing a card. He or she will then solve the equation on the card. If the student answers correctly, he or she keeps the card. If not, the card goes back to the bottom of the pile. If a student picks up a “fun” card, he or she will follow the directions on the card. Whoever has the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!
Students may play this game orally or record their answers on a white board, a piece of paper, or the included recording sheet. Directions on how to play the games are included and can be posted in a math station. I have also included a Forest Fact Adventure game board and a Roll, Say, Keep game board so they can have additional practice using the cards to learn their facts in a small math group, math station, or with a partner.
Once they complete their game, they may choose from the list of extension activities on the direction card. A create your own word problem activity page is included in this pack.
